46 year old male with unexplained weight loss.
Nuclear Medicine gastric scan was requested to rule out GI pathology.
Patient was given scrambled eggs labelled with Tc 99m and was imaged for two hours.
From the time activity graph (image 4), we see T 1/2 for emptying was 34 mins. The normal for males is 77.9 +/- 32 mins. So his emptying rate was faster than normal
(Results are according to normal solid T 1/2 values at Emory University).
