Sixty one year old male with a suspicion of a right inguinal hernia and a two month history of pain in the RIF.
Ultrasound exam of the abdomen was requested with the study extended to the pelvis.
No apparent hernia was identified sonographically. Sonograms identified bilateral caliectasis of the renal collecting systems and mucosal thickening of the urinary bladder suggestive of infection.
